Yevgeny Sudbin nato a San Pietroburgo, dove ha studiato, si è trasferito successivamente a Berlino e infine a Londra. Ha inciso 14 album e il suo CD, dedicato a Scriabin si è aggiudicato il Classical Award al MIDEM di Cannes.
Oltre agli studi al Royal College of Music, ha seguito corsi di Fleisher e Hough e ha ottenuto borse di studio da varie Fondazioni (Pulvermacher, Alexis Gregory, Wall Trust).
Sudbin ha suonato in recitals (New York, Amburgo, Lipsia, Berlino, Parigi) e con orchestre sinfoniche (negli USA con Minneapolis, Seattle, San Francisco; in Europa con London Philharmonic, BBC Scottish, Tonhalle Orchestra). Ha tenuto concerti con: Minnesota Orchestra, Seattle Symphony, San Francisco Symphony, Orchestra della Tonhalle, la London Philharmonic Orchestra e la BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.
Sudbin ha suonato il Concerto n. 1 di Rachmaninov con la BBC Philharmonic e Tortelier ai Proms nel 2008. É ospite abituale di festivals musicali in tutto il mondo, da Aspen, a La Roque d’Antheron, a Verbier, ai Proms di Londra a Singapore. Recitals alla Tonhalle di Zurigo, a Wigmore Hall e South Bank, al Concertgebouw di Amsterdam, a San Francisco, al Gilmore International Piano Festival, a San Juan di Porto Rico; ha suonato a Londra con Philharmonia e London Philharmonic, al Mostly Mozart Festival, a New York, dove ha ottenuto successo entusiastico nella serie Frick Collection, anche a Lincoln Center.

Vadim Gluzman’s extraordinary artistry brings to life the glorious violinistic tradition of the 19th and 20th centuries. Gluzman’s wide repertoire embraces new music and his performances are heard around the world through live broadcasts and a striking catalogue of award-winning recordings exclusively for the BIS label.
The Israeli violinist appears regularly with major orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, Chicago Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, Israel Philharmonic, London Philharmonic, London Symphony, and Leipzig Gewandhaus. Gluzman has enjoyed collaborations with many of today’s leading conductors, including Christoph von Dohnányi, Tugan Sokhiev, Sir Andrew Davis, Neeme Järvi, Michael Tilson Thomas, Semyon Bychkov, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Paavo Järvi, Hannu Lintu and Peter Oundjian. His festival appearances include performances at Verbier, Tanglewood, Ravinia, and Lockenhaus, as well as the North Shore Chamber Music Festival in Chicago, Illinois, which was founded by Gluzman and pianist Angela Yoffe, his wife and recital partner.
Highlights of his 2016-17 season include appearances in London at The Proms with the BBC Symphony and Edward Gardner, with the Chicago Symphony under Neeme Järvi, the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra Hamburg under Christoph von Dohnányi, the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin under Tugan Sokhiev, and with the Orchestre de Paris under Juraj Valčuha. He will tour the United States with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, including an engagement in New York at Carnegie Hall, and perform with Baltimore Symphony, NHK Orchestra in Tokyo, and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France in Paris, among other engagements. Gluzman will lead performances with the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra and the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra in Columbus, Ohio, where he continues in his third year as Creative Partner and Principal Guest Artist.
This season Mr. Gluzman will give the world premiere performances of new concertos written for him by two of today’s most important composers: Sofia Gubaidulina’s Triple Concerto for Violin, Cello and Bayan with Elsbeth Moser, Nicolas Altstaedt and the NDR Radio Philhamonic in Hannover under Andrew Manze; and Elena Firsova’s Concerto for Violin and Cello with Johannes Moser and the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin under Tugan Sokhiev. Gluzman has given live and recorded premieres of other works by Gubaidulina, as well as Giya Kancheli, Peteris Vasks, Michael Daugherty, and most recently, Lera Auerbach.
Vadim Gluzman’s latest CD for the BIS label features Sergey Prokofiev’s Violin Concertos No. 1 and 2, as well as the composer’s Sonata for Violin Solo, with Estonian National Orchestra conducted by Neeme Järvi. Accolades for his extensive discography on BIS include the Diapason d’Or of the Year, Gramophone’s Editor’s Choice, Classica Magazine’s esteemed Choc de Classica award, and Disc of the Month by The Strad, BBC Music Magazine, ClassicFM, and others.
Born in the former Soviet Union in 1973, Gluzman began violin studies at age 7. He studied with Roman Sne in Latvia and Zakhar Bron in Russia before moving to Israel in 1990, where he became a student of Yair Kless. In the United States, he studied with Arkady Fomin in Dallas and at the Juilliard School with Dorothy DeLay and Masao Kawasaki. Early in his career, Gluzman enjoyed the encouragement and mentorship of Isaac Stern which continued until the Stern’s passing in 2001. In 1994 he received the prestigious Henryk Szeryng Foundation Career Award.
Vadim Gluzman plays the legendary 1690 ‘ex-Leopold Auer’ Stradivari on extended loan to him through the generosity of the Stradivari Society of Chicago.
JOHANNES MOSER: Hailed by Gramophone Magazine as “one of the finest among the astonishing gallery of young virtuoso cellists”, German-Canadian cellist Johannes Moser has performed with the world’s leading orchestras such as the Berliner Philharmoniker, New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, BBC Philharmonic at the Proms, London Symphony, Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest, Tokyo NHK Symphony, Philadelphia and Cleveland Orchestras with conductors of the highest level including Riccardo Muti, Lorin Maazel, Mariss Jansons, Valery Gergiev, Zubin Mehta, Vladimir Jurowski, Franz Welser-Möst, Christian Thielemann, Pierre Boulez, Paavo Jarvi, Semyon Bychkov, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, and Gustavo Dudamel.
Johannes recently won his 3rd ECHO Klassik award as ‘Instrumentalist of the Year 2017’ for his Russian Recital disk on the label PENTATONE, for whom he records exclusively. His latest recordings include the concertos by Dvořák, Lalo, Elgar and Tchaikovsky, which have gained him the prestigious Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik and the Diapason d’Or. He will return to the recording studio in late 2017 to record Lutoslawski and Dutilleux concertos.
In the 2017/18 season, Johannes will return to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Danish National Symphony, Netherlands Radio, Orchestre National de Lille, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, New World Symphony, Seattle and San Diego Symphony.
With his newly formed piano trio with Yevgeny Sudbin and Vadim Gluzman he will tour extensively in the coming season throughout Europe and North America. A dedicated chamber musician, Johannes has performed with Joshua Bell, Emanuel Ax, Leonidas Kavakos, Menahem Pressler, James Ehnes, Midori, and Jonathan Biss. He is also a regular at festivals including the Verbier, Schleswig-Holstein, Gstaad and Kissinger festivals, the Mehta Chamber Music Festival, and the Colorado, Seattle and Brevard music festivals.
Renowned for his efforts to expand the reach of the classical genre, as well as his passionate focus on new music, Johannes has recently been heavily involved in commissioning works by Julia Wolfe, Ellen Reid, Thomas Agerfeld Olesen, Johannes Kalitzke, Jelena Firsowa and Andrew Norman. He will take part in the European Premiere of Gubaidulina’s Triple Concerto with the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra. In 2011 he premiered Magnetar for electric cello by Enrico Chapela with the Los Angeles Philharmonic conducted by Gustavo Dudamel, and in the following season he continued this relationship with the orchestra performing Michel van der Aa’s cello concerto Up-close. Throughout his career, Johannes has been committed to reaching out to all audiences, from kindergarten to college and beyond. He combines most of his concert engagements with masterclasses, school visits and preconcert lectures.
Born into a musical family in 1979, Johannes began studying the cello at the age of eight and became a student of Professor David Geringas in 1997. He was the top prize winner at the 2002 Tchaikovsky Competition, in addition to being awarded the Special Prize for his interpretation of the Rococo Variations. In 2014 he was awarded with the prestigious Brahms prize.
A voracious reader of everything from Kafka to Collins, and an avid outdoorsman, Johannes Moser is a keen hiker and mountain biker in what little spare time he has.
